Greetings! My name is Hidayat Taufiqur
I am a software engineer who started out in backend engineering and ended up a Microsoft D365FO developer.
Now. Associate Technical Developer at 9 Dots Consulting. I started there never having opened an ERP, so most of the job is reading the standard application until a process finally makes sense. My favourite hunt was a Power BI refresh that kept timing out. Nothing in the report pointed anywhere useful. The cause was an unused tax-calculation side effect sitting inside the standard exchange-rate call, costing everyone time the whole while.
Before that, I was a backend engineer at Telkom Indonesia, writing internal APIs in Go and TypeScript and their documentation. Moving data between systems and keeping them consistent and robust. That included a database migration and a Camunda workflow layer that started as my apprenticeship capstone.
Around that I took a freelance year building an ontology generation system: a Flask backend that uses LangChain and OpenAI to draft competency questions, which is the slow, expert-heavy part of ontology work.
And college. Telkom University, Informatics. I spent three semesters as a practicum assistant teaching data structures and algorithms to over 250 students, most of whom were meeting the material for the first time. I was in the Computing Lab, the Google Developer Student Club, and Proclub, which I joined as a member and left as president. My thesis measured HTTP versions against backend application performance.
The side project I keep coming back to is FnO Navigator, a map of the D365FO table graph, because the database is thousands of tables deep and Microsoft does not ship a compass.
Off the clock I have supported Chelsea since I was five, which I chose because my older brother already did and I liked the colour. That decision has survived every football game since: Winning Eleven, PES, FIFA, now EA FC, on whatever console or PC I happened to own.
- Music: what I listen to oftentimes portrays how I feel in that moment. Or maybe what I want to feel at that time. I listen to most genres, but of course some more than the others.
- Films: I rewatch the ones that mean something to me more often than I chase new ones.
- Guitar: I have owned one for years and still cannot play it properly.
- Games: a Valorant queue when friends are online, and a Mobile Legends jungle I take far more seriously than the game deserves.

Photography
Photography stuck, mostly for the part after the shutter, when the image is still unfinished and the choices are mine. A selection lives here.
